Visa applicants must have travel medical insurance that covers any expenses that may arise during their stay in the Schengen Area, including medical treatment, emergency hospitalization, and repatriation of remains.
The insurance coverage should be valid in all Schengen member states and for the entire duration of the intended stay.
The minimum coverage amount required is 30,000 euros or equivalent in other currencies.
The insurance policy should have no exclusions or limitations that could restrict its coverage.
The insurance policy must be issued by a recognized and authorized insurance company.
Proof of insurance coverage must be provided when applying for a Schengen visa.
