How annual coverage works

One policy covers all your Schengen stays for 12 months, each trip capped at a maximum duration (often 90 consecutive days, in line with the 90/180 rule). For multiple-entry visa applications, the Visa Code requires insurance for the first trip plus a commitment to remain insured for later ones: an annual certificate satisfies both at once.
